Spring Training: Dog Agility Classes Are Under Way at CCS!

CCS Skills & Drills Class - Handlers and Their Dogs

Spring hasn’t sprung quite yet in the DFW metroplex, but eager handlers and their equally enthusiastic pups are putting Center for Canine Sports’ grassy field to good use — especially our brand-new Clip and Go A-frame and dogwalk!

On Thursday mornings at 10, it’s time for Skills & Drills with Crystal Ragan. And tonight — Wednesday, March 5 — our newest trainer, Brooke Ortale, will debut her 7pm Starters/Advanced Agility class. An 8pm Masters class will be added if there is enough interest.

For more details and to sign up for classes at CCS, please email Lisa Jarvis: agiliek9s.lj@ gmail.com. See you on the field!

Betsie Bolger

Betsie Bolger and Coco took their first agility lessons at Center for Canine Sports in 2016, “just for fun”. When head trainer Lisa Jarvis invited the fledgling duo to enter a trial at CCS, Betsie discovered just how much fun competing in agility can be! She currently runs 4 dogs — all small rescues — and is starting to train a 5th. In 2024, Betsie was inducted into USDAA’s Hall of Fame as Volunteer of the Year. When not running agility, she is a writer and editor and also co-owns an eBay store with her husband, Jon.
