Disc Dog at CCS

CCS is proud to be the home field of the DFW Disc Dog Club (formerly Dallas Dog & Disc Club). In addition to weekly practice sessions, DDDC hosts UpDog Dallas disc dog competitions. So you and your dog can play for fun or play to win!

Disc Dog (often called Frisbee™ Dog) is an exciting, fast-paced, fun sport that all dogs and people can enjoy. It celebrates the bond between handler and dog by allowing them to work together — while also boosting the fitness and agility of both dogs and handlers.

In disc dog competitions, dogs and their human flying disc throwers compete in events such as distance or freestyle catching. UpDog has taken the basic game of fetch with a flying disc and expanded it into various fun games. Dogs of any breed, type, size or shape can play and be successful. If your dog can fetch, your dog can take the UpDog Challenge.

Dogs get points in every game, and cumulative points earn UpDog Achievements (called “UPs”). Once you have earned an UP medal in at least 3 games you can apply for AKC Disc Dog titles offered by the American Kennel Club.

DDDC’s UpDog Dallas events calendar includes Triple Crown 2025, coming up August 29 through September 3. Spectators are welcome!
