CCS Students Pair Up for the Win!

At Pawprints Agility Club’s recent USDAA trial in Greenwood, LA, Center for Canine Sports students Helena Roman and Betsie Bolger successfully competed in the Combined Pairs relay event with their dogs Gimmi and Fast Eddie. Each dog ran half of the course — complete with a midpoint baton exchange by their handlers — and the result was a third-place Q (qualifying run). Most importantly, a good time was had by all!

More USDAA competition is in store for Gimmi and Fast Eddie at CCS Spring Trial 2026, coming up April 25-26 at Center for Canine Sports (300 S. Kirby St., Garland, TX) with CMJ Ken Boyd (Vista, CA) doing the judging honors. Entries close April 13th, and spectators are welcome.🐾👣

Betsie Bolger

Betsie Bolger and Coco took their first agility lessons at Center for Canine Sports in 2016, “just for fun”. When head trainer Lisa Jarvis invited the fledgling duo to enter a trial at CCS, Betsie discovered just how much fun competing in agility can be! She currently runs 4 dogs — all small rescues — and is starting to train a 5th. In 2024, Betsie was inducted into USDAA’s Hall of Fame as Volunteer of the Year. When not running agility, she is a writer and editor and also co-owns an eBay store with her husband, Jon.
